Your Face

Translate a Taiwanese song into English. Just the meaning. Cannot match the melody.

把「你的樣子」譯成英文,只是意譯,未能配合旋律。

Your Face

I hear one's whisper from far behind.

Like a stream crying in a dream.

I see one's footsteps leaving bits and pieces

blocking the miserable eyes while saying goodbye.

Don't understand why you let dust fall onto your face.

Blurring a long forgotten world that once has your name......has my singing......

That sad song persisting in a dream always wakes me up so clear

murmuring a bit about the miserable past.

Wind has dried the tears, then, one with a hollow shadow turns around with ease.

Don't understand why all sophistication cannot melt your face.

Is it because tomorrow's fate coming too late?

Days after days, withered is your smile and so is my mind.

Unchanged is you, standing firmly in a windy time passage.

Clever child, holding a fragile lantern.

Careless is you, let hidden love fire into traces of memory.

Lonely child, you are the beloved one in Creator's eyes.

blocking the miserable eyes while saying goodbye.

Don't understand why you let dust fall onto your face.

Blurring a long forgotten world that once has your name......has my singing......

Unchanged is you, standing firmly in a misty time passage.

Clever child, holding your favourite lantern.

Careless is you, let hidden love fire into traces of memory.

Lonely child, you are the beloved one in Creator's eyes.

Hairy Ovals

Here's a curtain of hairy ovals

that stand still to view the water over.

Bird comes and goes as the water shivers.

They don't bother all these strange viewers.

Spreading their wings to show how lovely are their feathers.

Resting here and there from winters to summers.

(Inspired by the scenery at the Attenborough Nature Reserve.)

Once in a while

Grey is the sky, or may be blue.

Not sure, is it you?

A blue bird flies across my mind

and traces various ideas so cool.

You leave clues for me to explore as far as I could.

Please visit again whenever the sky turns blue.

(On that day, the sky was grey but had sunshine once in a while.)
