Misty moon

This is a painting at Scarborough Art Gallery. It inspires me to write the following poem:

Misty moon

Among the misty trees,

moonlight penetrates far and near.

A night street tuned foggy green

contrasts to two windows afar with brown yellow gleams.

Rain seems gone, its trace on the ground is a hint.

Silently, it mirrors the time unseen.

Being a lonely child at the scene,

I walk slowly to my destiny

while the moon shines through the trees.

Her grace melts me into the atmosphere.

Gradually, the air is full of memories.

Life can be serious but not to me.

The road is slippery but I won’t be interfered.

Every single footstep is still light and free.

Moon, please answer me.

Why are you here?

My story is just ordinary.

My way home becomes a fantasy

as your light silvers everything I see.

Soon, my mind is clear.

It’s you who create this masterpiece

and you let me be part of it.
